Who runs the 'one community' project?
The one community scheme is a partnership between North Lincolnshire Council, Humberside Police, social services and several other organisations. The scheme covers the whole of the North Lincolnshire area.
Who pays for the work?
The scheme is partly funded by the partners and by charging for the services provided at a very competitive price. A member of the handyman service will visit to give you a free competitive quote for the works required.
Who will carry out the work?
The scheme employs three handymen to carry out all the work.
The handyman scheme will carry out the following:
- minor repairs to your property
- small works such as fitting curtain rails, putting up shelves etc.
- small decorating jobs
- improvements to access, such as adding ramps for scooters or additional steps
- fitting additional hand rails
We can cut and trim your lawns, cut back rough grass and bushes, clear paths, trim back shrubs, cut hedges and much more.
The charge for this service is £25 including VAT for one hour of work.
If however, you receive a means tested benefit, you are disabled or over 60 years old, you can receive a reduced rate.
There is an additional charge if the gardening work requires the use of the trailer to transport the waste. This charge will be £18 per load.
